Mr. House has been a private investor since 1984 when he ended a nine year career with Merrill Lynch as an Account Executive specializing in commodity futures trading. Mr. House was licensed to trade stocks, bonds, commodity futures, limited partnerships, and insurance products through Merrill Lynch. In 1984 he was invited to join a group of individual investors who invested their own funds in real estate, business ventures, agricultural farms, and other types of investment opportunities including new technologies. In the late 1990’s the group started developing, building, and operating independent and assisted living senior facilities in their portfolio. The portfolio now includes 1500 senior units and will include nearly 500 market rate apartments. Mr. House’s responsibilities include identifying and purchasing properties, making zoning changes with government entities, design coordination with architects and engineers, constructing the buildings with a in house general contractor as well as independent contractors, startup of operating the projects and operating them. Other ventures included new technologies like computer compression, electric generation using windmills, flux and gold mines, and timber harvesting. The latest project is a 14 story, 245 unit luxury apartment building in the Kierland area in Scottsdale, Arizona which is scheduled to start construction in April of 2026.
